Grant Application
Grant application Deadline is: April 1, 2020

Annual Mini-grants

IAHPERD’s mission:
To provide leadership and support for the enhancement of movement, leisure and health related programs.

2005 IAHPERD Strategic Plan:
Develop and implement professional programs to promote healthy active lifestyles provided through the allied professions (B).

Opportunity for members:
Mini-grants up to $500 each.  Grants for greater than $500 may be considered by the committee with proper documentation. Applicants may request funding for equipment, research projects, workshops, and special projects.

Please note:
If you have served on the legislative committee within the past 5 years you are not eligible to apply for a grant, and 5 years after if you do not choose to serve.

Mini-Grant Application Criteria

Applicant must be an IAHPERD member in good standing for the last two consecutive years.

The project should benefit children, students, teachers, professors or program directors to the extent of the mission of IAHPERD.

The project should fit the strategic plan/mission of IAHPERD.

The project must relate to Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance or other Active Lifestyle Organizations.

Successful applicants within the same building many not apply for another two years.

Grant winners must present at the next IAHPERD convention.

Grant winners are required to submit an article to the IAHPERD Journal.

Grant winners are required to have a representative at the the State IAHPERD Convention.
