Legislature Alert
The District Scholar Award has been established to honor scholars in Central District at the annual convention. All professional members of Central District are eligible for consideration each year. If you wish to nominate someone for the District Scholar Award, submit their name and a letter of nomination (limited to two typed pages) to:

The deadline for nominations is July 15.
If is recommended that the nominee be contacted prior to their nomination because each nominee will have to provide pertinent materials for review by the District Scholar selection committee. The completed application will need to be supplied to Joe Quatrochi by October 15.
The District Scholar Committee includes a representative from each state, the past chair of the Research Section, the current chair of the History Committee, and the chair of the Committee appointed by the District President. The CommitteeÕs decision will be forwarded to the District President by December 1, and announced at the Central District convention. The recipient of the District Scholar Award will then be expected to present a scholarly lecture during a session at the annual Central District convention.
